The dreaded length of co ax that turns out to be faulty  after you have fitted it.
A pain in the backside suddenly finding your self  having to strip out a piece of co ax.We now test   each drum with a waveform generator and an oscilloscope
Well its  a  fiddly test but necessary to avoid issue at a later date.
This also tests the cables ability to handle all the frequencies put through it so its win win

If you have a pvr then its easy to through and set your unit to record  the  programme you want to watch.
The other side to this is of course online catch up but not every body as access to this.

Back in a certain era the remote control was you.
Volume to loud  get up and turn it down,some TVs had rotary tuning controls not push button for each channel as well
Remote controls have made us lazy,sat there  pigging out on various snacks where even getting to go to toilet is a  problem

wall mounting your tv

Tv wall mounting is pretty easy but you need to get to grips  its position or the final result will drive you mad.
Trial and error for the best position is number maybe using a  cardboard cut out the size of your TV
Decide on your type of bracket whether it be simple tilt or  a in out up down left to right.These tend to be a lot bulkier than simple tilt so need  more thought

Below is  a mount with a lot more movement than simple tilt

Freesat installation sheffield

Freesat  gives you   more  flexibility in your tv viewing needs.
No1 is HD  from  freesat.
The wider bandwidth offered by satellite allows HD to shine.HD via freeview will always be a compromise due to bandwidth allocations.Freesat also gives you access to all the regional  programmes throughout the uk.
If you are stuck on say Belmont which gives local programming  only from the Lincolnshire area  then freesat comes to the  rescue,of vourse if your freeview reception is  being destroyed  by buildings or trees than again freesat comes to the rescue

We supply and fit freesat  either the dish alone if you have bought a freesat box or we can supply  you with either a  SD or SD freesat unit used or new.

SD  or single definition is the first  in our line up .
A system with SD dish supplied and fitted is £180 all in,this is using the standard  sky dish with a quad or 4 output lnb

Okay steel masts rust yep they do have galvanizing but only on the exterior sour mast rusting from the inside out is all to common.

Where is the transmitter

Whipping out the compass is something we will do in situations where no other aerials are pointing us in the right direction. The bearing to a transmitter is provided buy our postcode checker,so once we have transmitters direction then its set up a test array and position it with meter ready and take some results. This method is often necessary in transition areas or borderline reception.

The classic primary focus dish

winter in all its forms is a coming

winter  really hammers your tv aerial or satellite dish
snow build up and its weight  can really destroy your reception
A satellite dish is particularly vulnerable to this.
Snow build simply kills sky reception,the now common perforated dish  allows  snow to bind to the dish surface.
A  conventional dish  is less prone  and a bigger dish gives you a lot more margin  against signal absorption

Freesat and freesat hd

Freesat as you expect is free,really just freeview except coming from A  satellite.
In most cases you don't need freesat freeview is perfectly OK
Freesat comes into its own  where terrestrial TV is poor or non  existent,looking through trees for example is a prime point.
Hills or tall buildings are another case for freesat ,presuming that is  your field of view of the satellite isn't blocked.
If you are  thinking about freesat we can conduct  sight tests to make sure you can actually see the satellite

Oughtibridge and stocksbridge

Oughtibridge along with stocksbridge as its own relay,why.......... simple hills and valleys. Is your picture breaking up

Digital pictures when they don't behave themselves break up or freeze. Analogue pictures equivalent was grain,but these pictures were watch able,the digital picture version of this most definitely isn't. Don't jump to the conclusion you automatically need a new aerial, one of the causes can be a simple wall socket to TV that came out of the dark ages.
